D.L. Hughley

 Hughley is the fourth child of four. His father was an airline maintenance worker while his mother was a homemaker.He grew up in L.A.'s South Central where he was a part of the Bloods group after being kicked out of high school. After the death of a cousin, he made a comeback and turned his life around. He left the gang to become a telemarketer at the Los Angeles Times. There he met his future wife and was promoted to manager. She was the one who convinced him to try his humor onstage. After several years of club events, BET selected him as the first host of "Comic View." He was then honored with two HBO specials that were extremely adult-oriented.
