Eva Gabor was the daughter of Jolie Gabor (nee Janka Tilleman), and Vilmos Gabor, who was a soldier. Magda Gabor (an actress) and Zsa Zsa Zsa Gabrielor (an actress and socialite) were her elder siblings. Both her parents came from Jewish backgrounds. Acting in the 1930s the actress moved to Hollywood, California. Her mother fled Nazi-controlled Budapest in 1940 and came to the U.S. in 1950s. Eva appeared in movies and on Broadway, as well as several "A"-movies in the 1950s. In the 1950s and early 1960s, she was in films and on television. She was in one episode of the crime show Justice (1954) and was featured on the game show What's My Line? (1950) in the role of "mystery challenger". The time she was in she also appeared in films, including the remake of My Man Godfrey, Gigi (1958), and It Started with a Kiss (1959).
