 Melanie Jayne Lynskey (born 16 May 1977) is a New Zealand actress. She is known for her portrayals of women who are complex [1] and her proficiency in American dialects. Lynskey works primarily in films that are independent. Lynskey has been awarded two Critics Choice Awards. She also received a Gracie Award. A New Zealand Film Award. The Hollywood Film Award. She is also well-known for her portrayals of women who are complex and her mastery of American dialects. Lynskey works mainly in independent films. After making the move to the United States, Lynskey built a successful career as a supporting actor in numerous films with a large and small budget like Ever After (1998) and Detroit Rock City, But... (both 1999), Abandon, Sweet Home Alabama, (both 2002), Shattered glass (2003), Flags of Our Fathers (2006).
