Salma Hayek was conceived in Coatzacoalcos (Mexico) on September 2nd 1996. Her father is Lebanese and her mother is Mexican/Spanish. At the age of 12, she was sent to the Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was at Mexico City's prestigious University of the Sacred Heart located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Then she was prepared to pursue acting professionally. Teresa (1989) is a soap opera that was highly successful that earned her stardom in Mexico. She was eager to make films and discover her passions and talent as she left Mexico (1989) as well as Teresa (1991). Heartbroken fans spread rumors that she was having a secret affair with Mexico's president and left to avoid the wrath of his wife. She made her way to Los Angeles.
