Eminem

Eminem was born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, in St. Joseph, Missouri, and his parents were Deborah R. (Nelson) and Marshall Bruce Mathers, Jr., both of whom were in a band known as Daddy Warbucks. The rapper is English as well as some German, Scottish, and Swiss-German roots. Marshall spent his early years in Detroit and Kansas City. He settled on the Eastside of Detroit at the age of 12. He changed schools every two or three weeks, making it hard to meet new people and graduate. Marshall attended Lincoln High School, Warren, Michigan, 1986-1989. He was a huge rap enthusiast all his life and began performing raps when he was four. In a world that was otherwise challenging, Marshall found enjoyment in rapping and fighting with his peers in the school lunchroom. He started to take rap seriously at the age of 14. But it wasn't until his 17th birthday that he began to make a name for itself, becoming M&M. Later, he would go by the moniker "Eminem." He was a target for many other rappers due to his race, Marshall grew an anger that flows through his music until today.
