Howie Long

 Howard Matthew Moses Long (born on January 6, 1960)is an American sports analyst who was a former professional football player. Long spent the entirety of his career playing in the National Football League (NFL), as a defensive lineman. The Raiders selected him in the Raiders in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft, Long received eight Pro Bowl and three first-team All-Pro selections while helping the team achieve the Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XVIII over the Washington Redskins. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Long retired in 2000. He also pursued a career as an broadcaster and actor. Long was an all-around athlete, playing football (lettered for three years and was named to the Scholastic Coach All-America team as senior, though the sport was not his first passion up to the age of 15) as well as basketball (lettered three years as forward) and track (lettered three times, competing in the discus, shot and javelin). Long also set state records in the shot put and discus. [citation needed]
