She is known for her appearances as Carmen Ferrara on Popular, as Claude Casey on Less than Perfect and as the Attorney General in Idiocracy. In 2011, she was the host of The CW reality series Shedding for the Wedding. She was a regular on Rules of Engagement as Brenda who was a softball teammate and friend of Jeff Bingham. [a] She also had an ongoing role in the role of Kim on the short-lived ABC sitcom Malibu Country, and appeared in the main cast of the TV Land comedy series Impastor. Also, she is known for her role as Olivia Caliban in the second season of A Series Of Unfortunate Events.Sara Rue was born Sara Schlackman in New York City, the daughter of Joan Schlackman (nee Rue) an employee of the city and former actress as well as Marc Schlackman, a stage manager. The elder of two children, she grew up in New York, where her parents were involved in Broadway theatre.Rue began her acting career at nine and appeared in the 1988 film Rocket Gibraltar as Kevin Spacey's daughter. Rue was a young Roseanne when she first met Dan encounter at a TV dance.
