Amanda Lourenco Nunes (born May 30 1988 in Brazil) is a professional mixed martial artist. She is a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where she is currently the UFC Featherweight Women's Champion, and a twice-time UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. She is currently ranked #1 in UFC's women's pound for pounds rankings at the time of her birth on January 25 2023. She is the first female UFC champion in both two divisions, and is the third fighter after Conor McGregor or Daniel Cormier to hold UFC titles at two weight classes. She is also the only fighter who holds both UFC championships. Amanda Lourenco Nunes was born May 30 1988 in Pojuca. Pojuca is a small Brazilian town. Her older sisters include Valdirene (Vanessa) and Vanessa. When Nunes was four years old her mother divorced her parents. Nunes and her sisters were at home with her mother. In order to be able to support her family with a single mother Mrs. Ivete began selling hot-dogs, sweets, and beauty products as well as her regular job as an administrative assistant at school. According to Nunes her father at first didn't support her fight career, but has since changed his mind.
