Clifton Powell a graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. Clifton Powell is an actor and producer. He is most well-known for his movies Ray, Selma Lord Selma and Dead Presidents. Clifton has two kids, Maya and Clifton Jr. and two grandsons, Alizah and Rashaad Jr.Powell has been in more than 100 films, starting in the 80s. His credits include Menace II Society (1993), Dead Presidents (1995), Why Do Fools Fall in Love (1998), Rush Hour (1998), Next Friday (2000), and its 2002 sequel, Friday After Next, Woman Thou Art Loosed (2004) as well as Ray (2004). He was Martin Luther King Jr. in the 1999 television film Selma, Lord, Selma. In the 2000s and 2010, Powell was also a part of smaller direct-to-video films. Powell played the lead role in Saints & Sinners, the first soap opera with a prime-time airing on Bounce TV. He starred alongside Gloria Reuben and Vanessa Bell Calloway.
