Clifton Powell

 Clifton Powell is a Emerson College graduate from Boston, Massachusetts. He is an actor and producer known for the films Ray, Selma Lord Selma, Dead Presidents, and Menace 2 Society, and the TV series The Family Business, Sacrifice, as well as Saints & Sinners. Clifton is married to Maya who has two children, Clifton Jr. and Rashaad Jr.. Over 100 films have been filmed by Powell from the 1980s onwards. His credits include Menace II Society (1993), Dead Presidents (1995), Why Do Fools Fall in Love (1998), Rush Hour (1998), Next Friday (2000), and its sequel from 2002, Friday After Next, Woman Thou Art Loosed (2004), as well as Ray (2004). In 1999, he was the role as Martin Luther King Jr. in the television film Selma, Lord, Selma. In the decade between 2000 and 2010, Powell was also a supporting role in several smaller direct-to video films. Powell played the lead role in Saints & Sinners, the first soap opera with a prime-time airing on Bounce TV. He was opposite Gloria Reuben and Vanessa Bell Calloway.
