Claudia Cardinale

 Claudia Cardinale was born Claude Josephine Rose Cardinale. Claudia Cardinale is an Italian-Tunisian actor who is well-known for her critically acclaimed American as well as European films of the 1960s and 1970s. She was born and raised in Tunis, Tunisia, she was first noticed when she won a trip to the Venice Film Festival as a competition prize. After a handful of initial minor roles, Cardinale made her mark through films like 'Rocco and His Brothers,' 'Girl with a Suitcase,' and 'The Leopard.' The actress became a international star with Federico Fellini's iconic '8 1/2. Following her English movie 'The Pink Panther,' she was also in Hollywood films such as 'Blindfold,' 'The Professionals and 'Once Upon A Time in the West.' She was selected to be one of the jurors for the 1993 'Cannes Film Festival.' She was named by Los Angeles Times Magazine as one of the top 50 beautiful females in the history of film in 2011. Cardinale has appeared in over 150 films. In an interview with the press, she stated that she felt blessed to have the opportunity to do so at such a young age. Since the beginning of March, 2000 she has been a 'UNESCO' goodwill ambassador for the defense of Women's Rights.' She was also a goodwill ambassador for the 'UNESCO World Day of Water in the year 2006. She's married to a Frenchman and has two children.
