Patti LaBelle

 Actress and singer Patti LaBelle is widely regarded as the queen of soul and rock music. She has been praised for a number of her hits, including "Lady Marmalade,"" "When You Talk About Love" and "New Attitude." She started her career in the group known as the Ordettes in 1959, who became the Bluebelles in the year 1961. Her fame as a solo artist began in 1983, after she released her hit album, I'm in Love Again.Going to the road The Bluebelles earned national fame at The Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, where they were renamed "Apollo Sweethearts." The group enjoyed moderate success with their remakes of classic songs such as "You'll Never Walk Alone" or "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and their smash song "Down the Aisle" made it to the top 40. But nothing could compare to their initial success. In 1967, Cindy Birdsong left the group to form a band with Diana Ross and the Supremes. In the meantime, the remaining members of the Bluebelles attempted to break out of their musical slump.
