Terry Bradshaw (or Terry Paxton Bradshaw) was an American professional gridiron football quarterback. He was born in Shreveport on September 2, 1948. Bradshaw broke every one of the important school records for passing in the four years he was at Louisiana Tech and was selected by the Steelers with the very first overall selection in the 1970 National Football League (NFL) draft. In his second season with Pittsburgh Bradshaw was the team's primary quarterback. He led the team to its first of eight consecutive appearances in the playoffs in 1972.
