Katharine McPhee is an American actress, singer and songwriter who became famous following her appearance on the fifth season of American Idol'. McPhee was already an actor at the time was pressured by Nick Cokas and her parents to showcase her singing talents to the world. McPhee did not intend to win the trophy but she did participate in the show. However, performance after performance, she was able to be among the top three places. Though McPhee didn't win the title but she did earn the reputation of being a talented performer. McPhee made her own album available in 2007. Her positive response inspired her to pursue her music career. After that came a string of singles, albums and EPs like 'Unbroken "Had It All, 'Christmas Is the Time to Say I Love You' The song 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas', 'Hysteria' and the list goes on. Additionally, McPhee also established her acting career. McPhee has been involved in a few significant projects, such as "The House Bunny", "Shark Night 3D", "Smash", and "Scorpion" among others.
