Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor, born July 12, 1951 is an American actor, singer, and writer. Ladd is well-known for her role in Charlie's Angels as Kris Munroe. She was hired by the media in a rush to take over Farrah Fawcett–Majors, who was dismissed from the second season of the show in 1977. Ladd's character, Jill Munroe's sister, was also a part of the ABC television series. Ladd was on the show from its inception until the year 1981. She was the second child of Marion Stoppelmoor (1929-192001), a railroad engineer and Dolores Katz (nee Katz). Jordan, her daughter, was the child of David Ladd, a fellow actor. After their divorce, she took his surname and retained it. She is currently married to Brian Russell, a music producer, and has a stepdaughter named Lindsay Russell. Ladd is a celebrity spokesperson for the prevention of child abuse and treatment non-profit organization Childhelp.
