Emily Mallory Procter (born October 8th, 1968) is an American actress. From 2000 until 2002, and also in 2006, she portrayed Ainsley Hayes in the NBC political drama The West Wing and from 2002 to 2012, she played Det. Calleigh Duquesne on the CBS police drama CSI: Miami. The actress was born on October 8, 1968. Procter was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was three years old at the time her parents divorced. She is the older sister of Whit who is adopted.Procter is a graduate of Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. While attending East Carolina University she became a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She received her journalism and dance degrees from East Carolina. After that she became an anchor on television for WNCT-TV in Greenville.
