Mare Of Easttown

A year and a half after the end of the critically popular HBO limited series Mare Of Easttown, folks continue to talk about the possibility of a second season. Mare Sheehan herself--Kate Winslet--says the future of the show is a mystery. Winslet says to Josh Horowitz, Happy Sad Confused podcast, that she doesn't know what the future holds. "All I can say is that no decision has been taken. It hasn't, honestly. "Both Brad Ingelsby, Mare Of Easttown's creator, and Brad Ingelsby have been speculating about the possibility of a second season. However, the show hasn't taken the form of a real show yet. It's a difficult one to talk about honestly... Let's begin. Winslet explains that this will be quoted and recited. "How would that evolve? These are challenging questions we can't answer right now. What would occur? It was a great show and it was far more well-known and popular as a television show than I think we would have hoped for We all feel extremely proud of what we achieved. I am extremely proud of all of the actors. "The HBO program's first Mare Of Easttown episode was a big success. Season one was a huge success, racking up 16 Emmy nominations. The season was awash with wins for Julianne Nicholson, Evan Peters and Winslet. "My God It was really difficult. Now the question is: should you quit when you're on top?" Winslet states. Do you stand up and say, "Look at what I did. That's so proud!" and then walk off? Or, should we attempt to do it again? "Additionally, Winslet knows the difficulties of playing a character such as Mare. The amount of emotional trauma the detective went through in the first season would make it more difficult to portray him in the role in a subsequent series.
