Mary Catherine McCormack was born February 8, 1969. She has had lead roles in the series as Justine Appleton in the show Murder One (1995-97), as the Deputy National Security Advisor Kate Harper in The West Wing (2004-06), as the Deputy U.S. In Plain Sight (2008)-12, Marshal Mary Shannon (2008-12), as Deputy National Security Adviser Kate Harper on The West Wing (2004-06), as well as Peggy (2018-19). Her parents divorced in 1990. Bridget is her sister. She was the Chief Justice of Michigan Supreme Court and a former professor at the University of Michigan Law School. William McCormack, her brother is an actor, writer, producer, and actor[6and producer[6. He has appeared on Robert O'Connor, FBI agent in the TV show In Plain Sight. McCormack graduated in 1987 from Edison's Wardlaw-Hartridge School. She earned her BA in the field of comparative arts in 1991 at Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut.
