Amrita Arora Ladak (born 31 January 1978) is an Indian model, actress presenter on television and video jockey (VJ), who primarily appears in the Hindi language in films.She has completed her secondary education from Swami Vivekanand School in Chembur. Her aunt, Grace Polycarp, was the school's principal, Mumbai.She is married to Shakeel Ladak, a businessman who works in the construction industry in 2009. The wedding ceremony included a Christian wedding on the 4th of March 2009 followed by Mehendi on March 5 and an Muslim Nikah ceremony on 6 March 2009. Her first successful film was an action-comedy, Awara Paagal Deewana. She was then part of several failed films, such as Girlfriend (2004) about the life of a lesbian couple. In 2007, she appeared in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om film, singing "Deewangi Deewangi" with her sister and ex-brother-in-law Arbaaz. She also appeared in Speed and Red: The Dark Side that year with Celina Jaitley and Aftab Shivdasani. Her 2009 films were Deha, as well as Team the Force.
