Sharon Stone

 Sharon Vonne Stone (born March 10, 1958) is an American actress. Most famous for her roles as femme fatales and mystery women in both television and films and became one of the most popular sexually explicit characters of the 1990s. Stone has won numerous awards like an award from the Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995. She was also named an Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters in France in 2005 (Commander in 2021).After acting in commercials for television as well as print advertisements, Stone made her film debut as an actor in Woody Allen's dramedy Stardust Memories (1980) and she played her first part as a speaker in Wes Craven's film about horror Deadly Blessing (1981). The 1980s saw Stone appeared in films such as Irreconcilable Differences (1984), King Solomon's Mines (1985), Cold Steel (1987) as well as Above the Law (1988). Her breakthrough role in Paul Verhoeven’s science-fiction action film Total Recall (1990) was her most memorable. She then rose to international fame after she was Catherine Tramell, a trophy woman, in the Verhoeven drama Basic Instinct (1992). This film won her both a Golden Globe Award nomination and an Academy Award nomination as Best Actress. Sliver (1993), The Specialist (94), The Quick and the Dead (1998) and The Muse (99), Catwoman (2006), Bobby (2006) and Lovelace (2013). She has also appeared in The Disaster Artist (2017), Rolling Thunder Revue (A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese (2018), and The Laundromat (2019).
