Jason Momoa

 Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa was born on August 1, 1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is the son of Coni (Lemke) who is photographer, and Joseph Momoa, a painter. His father is Native Hawaiian and Samoan descent; and his mother, who is from Iowa has German, Irish, and Native American ancestry. Jason was raised by his mother in Norwalk (Iowa). He relocated to Hawaii following high school. In Hawaii, he was awarded an important role in the show over thousands of hopefuls. After the show's end, he spent the next two years traveling the globe. He moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to pursue his acting career. After the TV series North Shore (2004) ended, he was cast in 2004 in the role of "Ronon" Dex, the lead character in the TV show Stargate: Atlantis (2004).
