Alycia Debnam-Carey

 Alycia Jasmin Debnam-Carey (born 20 July 1993) is an Australian actor from Australia. Her most well-known roles include Lexa her dystopian science fiction character on The 100 (2014–2016; 2020) and Alicia Clark, a horror drama character on Fear the Walking Dead (2015–2022). In 2003 she made her film debut in Rachel Ward's Australian drama Martha's New Coat. She also made her debut as a feature film in the American disaster movie Into the Storm (2014). Her directorial debut came in 2022 in the episode "Ofelia", which was part of the seventh season's Fear the Walking Dead. Leone Carey was her mother and her father were musicians. Debnam-Carey, her brother and sister would assist their mother in directing episodes she had written. Debnam-Carey began acting when she was eight years old. She also studied classical percussion for 10 more years. In 2010, as part of a collaboration with the Berlin Philharmonic, Debnam-Carey and about 40 other musicians wrote a piece in an entire two-week concert and performed it at the Sydney Opera House. In her last year at school, she was listed as an outstanding achiever by the NSW Government for achieving the top band of six Higher School Certificate courses, comprising English Advanced, English Extension 1, Drama, Modern History, Music 2 and Visual Arts. She was awarded the Premier's Award for earning a score of 90+ over 10 units, as well as an OnStage nomination for excellence in the field of drama, and an HSC Encore award for excellence in music. When she graduated from Newtown in 2011 she was close to attending the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, but decided she wanted to pursue acting.
