Melissa George (born 6 August 1976) is an Australian-American-British actress and entrepreneur. A former champion of the national artistic rollerskating championship and model, George began her acting career playing Angel Parrish in the Australian soap show Home and Away (1993-1996). George's feature film debut was in Dark City (1998), following her move to the United States. After making the move to America, George made her feature film debut in Dark City (1998). After that, she appeared in a series of horror and thriller films that included Turistas (2006) as well as WDZ (2007). The actress also starred as Kathy Lutz in The Amityville Horror's 2005 remake. For her performance as Laura Hill in HBO's In Treatment (2008), she received nominations for an award called a Golden Globe. She played Clara Musso in the FOX crime drama series Lie to Me* in 2010. Also, she starred as Clara Musso on The Slap (2011), an Australian miniseries for which she received the Logie Award. Hunted (2012) was her BBC spy series. She played the same role, Rosie in The Slap's American version in 2015. She appeared on the Hulu series The First as Diane Hagerty in 2018. The actress currently plays Margot on The Mosquito Coast (2021) The Mosquito Coast is an Apple TV+ drama series.
